Prenatal Screen Program Director, Roger Pineda Headshot

Roger is a seasoned public health professional with a 20‑year career rooted in both professional purpose and personal experience. Stories of his mother’s high‑risk pregnancies including months of bedrest while carrying him and his sibling’s premature birth shaped his lifelong commitment to advancing maternal and child health in South Florida. This early awareness continues to guide his work in building trust‑based, equity‑centered partnerships that uplift and honor community voices.

Roger began his nonprofit career at Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, where he developed educational programs for fathers, including those who were incarcerated, and later oversaw teen mentoring and educational initiatives. He now serves as Program Director at Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County, supporting thousands of families as they navigate maternity care and delivery. His work emphasizes co‑designing solutions with communities, strengthening nonprofit capacity, and leading cross‑sector collaboration to create a more inclusive and responsive maternal health ecosystem.

A longtime contributor to countywide health efforts, Roger has served on the School Health Advisory Committee, Wellness Promotion Task Force, Healthy Start Coalition, and Healthy Beginnings Coalition in Palm Beach County. He holds a master’s degree from Florida International University and is a proud father who enjoys supporting his son’s passion for soccer and football. Outside of his professional roles, Roger organizes international sporting events that promote physical and mental well‑being, using sports as a vehicle to give back and strengthen communities.
