Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides free hands-on classes for parents and their support partners through our education and training program. Classes are taught by trained and/or certified team members, as well as community partners throughout Palm Beach County.

Knowing what to expect during childbirth can help reduce stress about the experience. Join us to prepare for the arrival of your baby by discussing topics such as the stages of labor and delivery, labor support techniques, breathing and relaxation strategies, pain management, and C-sections. Pregnant women typically attend these classes in their third trimester. Support partners are encouraged to join!
It is recommended to bring the following items as we will be moving to the ground for interactive practice of comfort techniques during labor:
Two (2) pillows for each participant
One (1) blanket, comforter, or yoga mat

The fourth trimester is the 12 weeks following the birth of your baby. Not everyone has heard of it, but every parent and their newborn baby will experience it. Postpartum care is an extension of your prenatal care and it is crucial for you and your baby’s health. In this class you will learn what to expect after birth - the physical recovery and emotional changes, how to plan ahead for your self-care and for support, to be aware of potential postpartum complications, newborn development, adjusting to your new life and returning to work.

While this is scary for new parents, infant safety education is an important step to reducing risks for your baby and giving them the best care possible.
Join this class to learn the basics of baby safety including safe sleep, preventing shaken baby syndrome, caregiver safety, and more.

They provide educational materials for the following injury areas including drowning prevention, home safety, pedestrian safety, bicycle , safety and child passenger safety.

Accidents happen and preparing for the unexpected can help. Learning infant CPR can prepare individuals to give their child the best chance of recovering from an emergency including choking, drowning, or breathing problems. This class is for expectant couples, parents, and community members who are or will become caregivers of infants and children.
*Each participant must fill out an individual registration form.

Jason Valentine is a Captain-firefighter/paramedic for the City of Coral Springs Fire Department with over 15 years of experience. He is also a CPR instructor and has taught infant CPR classes with HMHB for four years. Jason states there's no greater satisfaction than teaching new parents these critical lifesaving skills.
The Drowning Prevention Coalition was established in 1996 with the goal of reducing drowning, near-drowning, and other water-related incidents by promoting education on bathtub and water safety.

Jason Valentine is a Captain-firefighter/paramedic for the City of Coral Springs Fire Department with over 15 years of experience. He is also a CPR instructor and has taught infant CPR classes with HMHB for four years. Jason states there's no greater satisfaction than teaching new parents these critical lifesaving skills.
The Drowning Prevention Coalition was established in 1996 with the goal of reducing drowning, near-drowning, and other water-related incidents by promoting education on bathtub and water safety.

In this class you will learn what to expect after birth - the physical recovery and emotional changes, how to plan ahead for your self-care and for support, to be aware of potential postpartum complications, newborn development, adjusting to your new life and returning to work.

Working with a licensed Nutritionist and Mental Health Counselor, the Registered Nurse Case Manager from the Women's Health Initiative (WHIN) Program provides culturally appropriate education to moms in specific zip codes in Palm Beach County. The Registered Nurse educates all families on toxic stress, stress management, healthy relationships, safe sleep, family planning, and breastfeeding through collaborative community partnerships funded by the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County.
