Calendar of Events, Classes and Support Groups
Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides free hands-on classes for parents and their support partners through our education and training program. Classes are taught by trained and/or certified team members, as well as community partners throughout Palm Beach County.
All classes and groups are offered at no cost to Palm Beach County residents. Registration is required.
In Person Infant CPR & Safety
Accidents happen and preparing for the unexpected can help. Learning infant CPR can prepare individuals to give their child the best chance of recovering from an emergency including choking, drowning, or breathing problems. This class is for expectant couples, parents, and community members who are or will become caregivers of infants and children.
*Each participant must fill out an individual registration form.

Gregg Orenstein is a proud father of two and the husband of a dynamic educational leader and fitness instructor. The Drowning Prevention Coalition was established in 1996 with the goal of reducing drowning, near-drowning, and other water-related incidents by promoting education on bathtub and water safety.
En Persona RCP Infantil y Seguridad
Esta clase es para futuras parejas, padres y miembros de la comunidad que son o serán cuidadores de bebés y niños. Aprender RCP infantil puede preparar a las personas para brindarle a su hijo la mejor oportunidad de recuperarse de una emergencia, asfixia, ahogamiento o problemas respiratorios. Join us to learn practical comfort techniques, breathing strategies, and emotional support tools to help you feel prepared and involved during childbirth.

Lactancia Materna
Es importante comprender la lactancia materna antes del nacimiento de su bebé. Una clase de lactancia materna puede ayudarla a comprender mejor cómo funciona la lactancia materna y responder preguntas como cómo establecer un suministro saludable de leche materna, cómo ayudar al bebé a prenderse, etc. El instructor cubrirá eso y más. Enseñaremos los beneficios de la lactancia materna para la mamá y el bebé, las posiciones para amamantar, el uso de un extractor de leche, cuándo cambiar a sólidos y el almacenamiento seguro de la leche. In Person Childbirth Class
Knowing what to expect during childbirth can help reduce stress about the experience. Join us to prepare for the arrival of your baby by discussing topics such as the stages of labor and delivery, labor support techniques, breathing and relaxation strategies, pain management, and C-sections. Pregnant women typically attend these classes in their third trimester. Support partners are encouraged to join!
It is recommended to bring the following items as we will be moving to the ground for interactive practice of comfort techniques during labor:
Two (2) pillows for each participant
One (1) blanket, comforter, or yoga mat

In Person Caring for Newborn Class
Caring for a baby takes practice and patience. It's okay to not know how to change a diaper or give a baby their first bath. We can teach you! This class covers the basics of caring for a newborn including diapering, feeding, and caring for your baby’s delicate body. Anyone caring for the baby, including partners, grandparents, and older siblings, are welcome to learn together!

In Person Childbirth Class
Knowing what to expect during childbirth can help reduce stress about the experience. Join us to prepare for the arrival of your baby by discussing topics such as the stages of labor and delivery, labor support techniques, breathing and relaxation strategies, pain management, and C-sections. Pregnant women typically attend these classes in their third trimester. Support partners are encouraged to join!
It is recommended to bring the following items as we will be moving to the ground for interactive practice of comfort techniques during labor:
Two (2) pillows for each participant
One (1) blanket, comforter, or yoga mat
