Not feeling like yourself? Having scary thoughts? Up to 80 percent of new moms experience baby blues after delivering, an emotional reaction that lasts no longer than two weeks, but did you know that you can experience symptoms while pregnant? 1 in 7 women will experience symptoms while pregnant and after delivery that get worse and last much longer than two weeks. This could be pregnancy/postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD or PTSD or postpartum psychosis. If your symptoms last longer than two weeks or your symptoms are not getting better, speak with your medical care provider.
Talking with other moms who are experiencing the same feelings as you can help. Our peer to peer emotional support groups allow you to share your own feelings or just listen. Our groups are offered at our West Palm Beach Centering South location in Boynton Beach. Partners and other family members are also welcome.
Decide on a location and click on a date to RSVP. Registration closes one week prior to scheduled group.
We look forward to meeting you.
