Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides Childbirth Classes through the Florida Outreach Childbirth Education Program (FOCEP). This class covers such topics as stages of labor and delivery, labor support techniques, breathing and relaxation, pain management, and C-sections. Pregnant women typically attend these classes in the third trimester of their pregnancy. Support partners are also encouraged to join the class.
It is recommended to bring the following items as we will be moving to the ground for interactive practice of comfort techniques during labor :
Two (2) pillows for each participant
One (1) blanket, comforter, or yoga mat

Anne Mejeur, FOCEP, LCCE, IBCLC, RLC, has taught childbirth classes with Healthy Mother, Healthy Babies for over 30 years. She has been helping women breastfeed since 1975, through LaLeche League and as an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). She has a private practice in lactation. Anne enjoys working with young families as they prepare for childbirth and breastfeeding.
