Healthy Beginnings Program
Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies (HMHB) was established to improve birth outcomes, promote healthy families, and build healthy communities by providing access to prenatal care for underserved and uninsured pregnant women and community-oriented education programs to all residents of Palm Beach County.
Goals of the program
As the ENTRY AGENCY for the Healthy Beginnings Program, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides screening and assessment services for pregnant teens and women, who may need to be linked to prevention and early intervention programs within the Healthy Beginnings Program.

HMHB staff use evidence based assessment and evaluation tools to determine Healthy Beginnings eligibility.Our highly skilled staff is trained to administer quality screens and assessments, provide single-topic parent education, deliver health care navigation information to participants, link families to the appropriate HB partners and/or provide referrals to suitable services and programs within the county. Coordinators work closely with program staff to provide direction, gather, input, organize and analyze data from the results of developmental screens, needs assessments and in-depth evaluations. All staff work together to ensure the appropriate services are delivered to eligible families, track program goals and achieve successful programmatic and systemic outcomes for healthy birth deliveries. Programs offered include Prenatal Outreach; Prenatal Care Coordination; MomCare, Health Care Navigation, and the HMHB Education Programs.
Our offices are strategically located across Palm Beach County, including our Mobile Outreach Van that serves as a mobile office allowing for access into areas where there is little or no transportation. (See office location)
Any individual or organization can refer a pregnant woman or teen residing in Palm Beach County to Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies. All pregnant teens and women residing in Palm Beach County are eligible for free services.
